Designed as a swarm of brown enamel dragonflies with golden plique-à-jour enamel wings around a pear-shaped citrine drop, inner circumference approximately 420mm, together with a comb fitting, wearable as a hairpiece, comb signed, case stamped R. Lalique.

Condition

The comb signed LALIQUE. Citrine measuring approximately 25.70 x 13.23 x 8.40mm, as gauged in the mount, light orangey yellow of medium saturation, with good transparency. Enamel in very good condition, with minor surface wear consistent with age. Comb fitting in good condition. Evidence of normal wear to the metal. Clasps secure. Well preserved jewel. In overall very good condition. Case stamped R. LALIQUE 40. COURS-LA-REINE PARIS, with evidence of age.
