Condition
The sculpture appears structurally sound and stable. There are some traces along the extreme top edge of a plaster-like material presumably used by the artist to infill the natural imperfections of the stone. There are signs of roundings and possible old nicks and losses to the extreme corners top and bottom, back and front, which may possibly be in line with the nature of the artist's techniques and materials. There are further smaller areas of slight minor possible abrasions which are most likely in keeping with the nature of the artist's techniques and materials. There may be a few very minor spots of rubbing including to the left of her left proper breast. There is surface dust to creviced areas and isolated instances of studio detritus. Subject to the above, the work appears in excellent condition. The sculpture is freestanding. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
