Condition
The canvas appears original. There is a very minor imperfection to the weave of the canvas towards the centre of the composition. There are some very fine lines of reticulation to the sky. There are one or two instances of studio matter in the surface of the paint, one or two accretions to the surface and some light surface dust. Subject to the above, the work appears in excellent overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light shows no obvious signs of retouching. The work is held behind glass in a painted wooden frame. Please contact the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
