Condition
Overall in good condition consistent with age and use. The top surface has been lightly cleaned and applied with a light varnish. The weld at the join between one brass sabot and stretcher has been repaired at some point. The vellum approximately two inches above this point has been sensitively retouched with cream paint to match. A further brass sabot and stretcher join diagonal to the first has possibly also been repaired at some point. The seam above this join has split approximately 1 1/4 in. (3.2 cm) and has been sensitively retouched with cream paint. The seam above one other leg has also split approximately 5 1/2 in. (14 cm). A playful and highly representative example of Italian mid century design.
