Condition
The canvas has been strip-lined onto a new wooden stretcher with what appears to be an additional transparent lining applied with a very thin gauze. This has successfully secured the faint pattern of craquelure in the mountains and in the lake. The work appears in good and stable condition. UV light reveals a few minor areas of retouching along the upper edge, a spot to the top of the mountain's left side and another to the top of the mountain's ride side. Also four minor spots of retouching in the foreground of the lake. Held in a gilt moulded frame, ready to hang.
