The tapered mount set with an oval sapphire, to shoulders pavé-set brilliant cut diamonds, size J, Swedish hallmarks and maker's mark, accompanied by fitted case stamped W. A. Bolin.
Condition
Stamped with maker's mark for W. A. Bolin, Swedish hallmark for 18 carat gold, city mark for Stockholm and date letter X10 for 1996. Sapphire measures approximately 11.63 x 10.16 x 6.34mm, calculated to weigh approximately 5.99 carats. Sapphire orangey-yellow, transparent, appears clean to the naked eye but some small typical inclusions visible under magnification, some chips to facet edges. Stone very slightly loose in mount but secure and the claws can be tightened by a jeweller. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.40-0.60 carats. Scratches to metal mount consistent with normal wear. Gross weight approximately 10.2 grams. In good condition.
