Cultured pearl, sapphire and diamond necklace

Composed of a row of graduated cultured pearls, to a clasp of floral design set with a circular-cut sapphire and single-cut diamonds, length approximately 850mm, indistinct maker's mark, two diamonds deficient.

Stamped with indistinct Italian maker's mark and 750 for 18 carat gold to clasp. Cultured pearls are well matched, white body colour, with green and rose overtones, high lustre on average, areas of pitting and unevenness to nacre, measuring from approximately 6.22 to 9.49mm. Sapphire dark to mid blue, transparent, with typical inclusions visible under magnification, measuring approximately 4.57 x 4.53 x 3.32mm, estimated weigh approximately 0.49 carats, minor abrasions to facet edges. Diamonds bright and lively, two diamonds deficient. Light scratches to clasp commensurate with wear. Secure clasp, with an additional safety catch. In good condition. Length approximately 850mm.
