Sugata [configuration]: Shinogi-zukuri with deep tori-zori, ko-kissaki, iori-mune Kitae [forging pattern]: A tight mokume, itame hada with a faint utsuri Hamon [tempering pattern]: Ko-gunome in nioi and ko-nie, based on suguha with gunome-ashi Boshi [tip]: O-maru with short kaeri Nakago [tang]: Ubu with 2 mekugi-ana, ha-agiri, kuri-jiri, mumei Nagasa [length from kissaki to machi]: 76.2 cm, 30  in.Saki-haba [width at the yokote]: 1.5 cm, 10/17  in.Moto-haba [width at the machi]: 3 cm, 1 1/4  in. In katana koshirae: in cha-ishime saya with iron kojiri, the tsuka with blue ito over white same, shakudo menuki of shell design and shakudo nanako fuchi-kashira, the oval tsuba of iron with six sukashi mon in gilt, all mumei

Condition

Some rubbing on the blade and slight opening of the jihada in places. The koshirae is sound, possibly a re-wrapped blue ito. Slight damage to the koi-guchi and marks on the saya. On the saya, a shallow 1.1cm-wide chip covered by the sageo, next to the kurigata.
