This work is still stretched on its original stretcher. The canvas is unlined. It does not seem to have ever been cleaned or varnished. Some of the original paint layer reads strongly, but no retouches are apparent. It is recommended that the work be hung in its current state. However, his seascapes reflect the stronger aspect of the artist’s temperament.
