Condition

The canvas has been lined with wax as an adhesive and is stretched onto a mechanical stretcher. The paint layer is clean. Under ultraviolet light, small isolated retouches can be seen around the edges, in a few spots in the darker colors in the upper left immediately beneath but not interrupting the signature, and in a few other spots in the darker color beneath the left side of the bridge. The work can be hung in its current state. (This condition report has been provided courtesy of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.)
