Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is a thick glossy varnish which is difficult to read through, however examination under UV light reveals scattered spots and flecks of retouching to old lines of shrinkage throughout the composition. There are areas of shrinkage still visible in places, notably towards the lower centre of the composition. This work is in fairly good overall condition.
