Catalogue Note
This nécessaire has been ordered for the wedding in 1788 of Armand-Charles-Gédéon, Viscount de Caulaincourt (1762-1805) and Marie-Félicité-Henriette de Tilly-Blaru, Picardie and Normandie. This Caulaincourt was cousin to Marquess de Caulaincourt, Duke de Vicence, Foreign Affairs Minister to Emperor Napoléon I from 1813 to 1815.
