MVT: is running at the time of cataloguing and the minute repeating with a very sharp and clear tone and is repeating in phase. CASE: in very good condition with nice flutting to the lugs, strong hallmarks under the lugs and with only a very light polishing. There is minor surface wear to the case but the wear can not been seen with the naked eye and a loup must be used. DIAL: intact and in excellent condition. The watch has not been tested to determine the accuracy of its timekeeping. The reference 5079 was introduced in 2001 and produced in very limited quantities until its discontinuation in 2005. The minute repeating wristwatch features exceptional "cathedral" gongs which are longer than other minute-repeating ones and therefore produce a richer, grander chime. The large case provides perfect acoustic conditions for these "cathedral" gongs to reverberate, and therefore enables them to captivate their audience. The watch features a white enamel dial that is kept simple and well-organized with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. With an estimated production of less than 100 pieces, it is a rare occasion to have a reference 5079 appearing at auction.
