Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. The hotei is broken in several parts and restored with old repainted areas associated with cracks and losses of painting, especially on the lower part and on the bag, as visible on the catalogue illustration. There is wear to the enamels. There are firing flaws especially on the belly. The bronze crown on the head is loose and has been added at a later period. The porcelain flower on it is broken.
