Condition
In overall very good condition with minor wear to the patina and surface dirt consistent with age and handling. The central string is missing on the lyre. The group is cast on various element assembled with hairline joints and plugs visible. Highly detailed cast and good size.

Catalogue Note
The monumental antique marble was discovered in 1545, during the excavations of the Baths of Caracalla. It can be seen in the Archeological Museum, in Naples.
