Condition
Overall in very good condition. Minor scuffing, indentations and shallow scratches throughout steel surface that are consistent with age and gentle use, and are more or less visible upon inspection. The inside doors of the commode present with loss to veneer on edges of inside panels (0.5 inch; 1.5 inch long on each door), and not visible when doors are closed. Drawers in excellent condition and present very little wear or signs of abrasion. The lower, horizontal surface on the inside of the commode shows 2 small dark stains (0.5-inch long for the largest). The metallic components on the inside that permit closing and opening of the piece are perfectly stable and in working condition, although doors need a strong push to fully close. Overall a well-preserved functional design by Françoise See.
