Condition
Overall in very good condition. The upholstery was professionally and sensitively replaced and is in excellent, clean condition. When examined in person, the selected upholstery presents with a lovely shimmering tonality to the fabric. The chair was professionally and sensitively relacquered at the feet and at the base. The feet present with minute flecks to the paint, the largest measuring ¼ in. and not visually distracting. The kingwood veneer is original and in very good condition, with very light scuffing throughout. The cushion is removable. Offered en suite with lot 206, this is a historic and well-documented piece by Schoen. The chair and table are special commissions and have remained in a private collection ever since.
