Condition
Overall in very good condition. The piece presents with minor scuffing throughout the surface, consistent with gentle use and not visually distracting. Occasional surface discoloration in the form of spotty areas (one on tail, measuring 1x1 ½ in.; one on head, measuring 0.5x0.5 in.; three small oxidation spots on belly and minor surface discoloration under the wings), all age-appropriate and consistent with natural evolution of the material. Light variations in tone throughout as is common with material. When seen in person, the piece shows a rose gold finish, slightly less brassy in color than in the catalogue photographs. A charming and whimsical model, characteristic of the Lalanne aesthetic.
