Condition

Overall very good condition. The peony blossoms display a delicate pink palette ranging from magenta to softer pinks that is accented by strong green foliage. The shade is executed with vigorously mottled soft cobalt blue favrile glass within the upper geometric register of the shade, which presents much like a blue sky background to the peony blossoms. The shade with approximately 19 hairline cracks dispersed throughout. One cracked white tile within the geometric border with a small associated loss, stable. The shade with surface soiling throughout concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines. The senior floor base is in very good condition with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, discolorations, and traces of light surface soiling and oxidation to the recessed portions of the design, all consistent with age and gentle use. The outer edge of the base foot with an area of wear to the patina measuring approximately 1 1/2 inch wide. The arms supporting the shade wheel and the upper portion of the base standard with some areas of wear to the patina, not visually detractive. All of the sockets and paddle switches appear original and undisturbed. With a period “Pig Tail” finial in very good condition with some minor bruises to the outermost edge and with some minor scattered discolorations. A beautiful example of the model displaying with great visual presence and nuanced “Spring” color palette.
