Description

  • 15.8 cm, 6 1/4  in.
the shallow rounded sides rising from an angled base and short straight foot to an everted rim, painted to the interior in rich cobalt-blue tones with a medallion enclosing a small boy holding a large lotus stalk, all reserved on a dense blue scroll ground, encircled at the rim by a lotus scroll band, the exterior with lotus and prunus sprays and butterflies in flight, the base inscribed with the six-character mark in underglaze blue

Condition

This dish is in very good condition, with the exception of very light scratches to the glaze and very minor firing imperfections.
