  • 20.5 cm, 8 1/8  in.
the compressed globular body supported on three conical ruyi feet and rising to a short everted rim, finely cast in low-relief around the exterior with a pair of shou characters flanked by dragons and divided at the shoulder by a pair of chilong handles, the base cast with an apocryphal Xuande six-character mark, the domed cover pierced with taotie masks and lotus lappet bands and surmounted by a coiled dragon finial

Condition

This censer is in overall good condition, with the exception of some minor nibbles and losses to the area near the finial on the cover. There are some overall scratches and dents.
