Description

  • 8.5 cm, 3 3/8  in.
finely cast, the God of Longevity seated on a recumbent deer, wearing a long-sleeved robe and holding a scroll in his right hand, the face with gentle smile and long beard, the base with apocryphal four-character Chenghua reign mark within a rectangle

Condition

This brushrest is fairly good condition, with the exception of a minor break to the left horn of the buffalo. There are a few very minor malachite encrustations, surface wear and minute nicks, consistent with age and use.
