Description

  • 12.5 cm, 4 7/8  in.
of circular form, skilfully rendered in openwork around the central aperture depicting a pair of deer grazing amongst elaborate foliage including pine trees and flowering branches, standing on jagged rockwork, the stone of an even pale celadon tone

Condition

there's several sections of minor restorations to the reticulated area with minor infill, mostly to the pine tree and prunus flower, which visible under the UV light, there's two shallow chips to the outer edge, one with associated area of small losses and both in consistent with its natural flaw, numerous small nicks to extremities, the actual colour of the jade is slightly paler than illustrated
