carved in the round, deep wing, cheek and neck detail; retains much of its original grey painted surface.
Provenance
Elliot and Grace Snyder, South Egremont, Massachusetts.
Condition
The neck and head are carved separately from the body. There are age and stress cracks, and losses on the left side of the swan, all consistent with the age of the carving.
