Condition

Overall very good condition. When viewed firsthand, the lamp displays a beautiful selection glass in a range of deep reds which is more variegated and nuanced compared to the printed catalogue illustration. The background passages in the upper floral register also present with slightly stronger yellow tones when viewed firsthand compared to the printed catalogue illustration. The shade with approximately 14 hairline cracks dispersed throughout, stable. The shade with some extremely light surface soiling throughout concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines. The base is in very good condition and displays a rich brown patina with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, and light wear consistent with age and gentle use. The base with some traces of light surface soiling to the recessed contours of the design. The cord guide with a loss to approximately 1/2 of the circumference. All sockets and paddle switches appear original and undisturbed. With a period finial in very good condition. A superb example of this rare shade model displaying stunning pictorial depth and a particularly rich color palette.
