- 7 cm, 2 3/4 in.
naturalistically carved, the lower body of the vessel skilfully rendered with a spire forming one foot, supported by two attendant small whorls, the stone of a warm honey-amber colour with faint speckles and inclusions, the wood stand carved in the form of a curled lotus leaf, supported on a long stem and two further small whorls on the underside

Collection of Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte, Loire Valley, by repute.

Good condition with just minor surface wear.
