Condition

Oil on stable panel. Under UV: the varnish fluoresces green unevenly. A few pinpoint dots, finely applied dashes and small areas of retouching can be found scattered on the wall panels, mirror and carpet, with single pinpoint dots over the artist's surname and the lower right of the seated lady's skirt. A few of the stripes on the back of the gentleman's coat and his proper right sleeve also fluoresce.
