Oil on cradled panel. The work is covered by a thick, discolored varnish with abrasions and accretions at the extreme edges. There is a stable web of fine craquelure throughout the picture surface. Under UV: the picture surface is obscured by a thick green fluorescing varnish, though a few dots of retouching, concentrated in the center of the work, are visible over this varnish.
