Condition

The octagon shaped canvas is lined and as a result the image appears pressed though the figure reads well. Under UV light there appears to be some scattered spots of retouches along the edges and on the background at right, with more concentrated areas on the figure's face and white shirt, some of which are visible to the naked eye. A vertical line that runs through the top of the figure's head, possibly to address an old repair, fluoresces and appears to be thinly retouched. Painting could hang as is. It is offered in a plain, octagon shaped wood frame.
