Description
- Portrait of a man, bust length, wearing a hat
- oil on canvas
- 19 3/4 by 14 3/8 in.; 50.2 by 36.5 cm.
Condition
The canvas is lined. The painting presents a handsome figure with some minor craquelure throughout. A little scuffing is barely visible along edges. Inspection under UV light is impeded due to a milky varnish, though there appears to be some old retouching to the background, hair, shadows in the face, and costume. The painting is offered in a faux turtle shell frame.
