Provenance

By whom given to the Minneapolis Institute of Art in 1977 (inv. no. RBL77.150).

Condition

The painting is lined. A decorative sketch-like image reads beautifully with the details well preserved. Inspection under UV shows some scattered small dots of retouches on the background sky. Two concentrated small strokes of retouching are on the center, one at left of the tower and another that runs through the tower. The painting could be hung in its present state. It is offered in an elaborately carved gold frame en-framed within a velvet lined wood shadowbox.
