Description

  • gold, silver, diamond
Designed as a sheaf of wheat composed of pinched collet-set old mine, old European and single-cut diamonds, bound together by a gold bow, one small diamond missing.

Condition

In good condition, with some discoloration to the mounting, predominantly to the ends, and minor surface scratches commensurate with age and wear. One small diamond missing from the second to left most tip. Mounted in white and yellow gold, possibly with a Czechoslovakian assay mark for 18 karat gold (ram's head located at the tip of the wheat stalk, second from right). The diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 23.00 carats, are approximately J-L color, predominantly SI clarity, some I clarity, a few with chips visible under 10x magnification. Of antique inspiration, the diamonds are various antique cuts. The gold bow has a soft brushed finish. Gross weight approximately 44 dwts and fitted with a singular pinstem, necessitating a relatively sturdy fabric. Length approximately 5¼ inches, maximum width approximately 2⅝ inches.
