Colored Diamond and Orange Sapphire Brooch, Michele della Valle

Designed as a gecko with a curled tail, set with numerous round orange sapphires and diamonds of brown hue, signed MdV.

In very good condition. Stamped 750 for 18 karat gold. The stones are set in blackened gold, but the rest of the mount is yellow gold. The orange sapphires range from medium to deep orange and they are lightly included overall. The diamonds of brown hue weighing approximately 2.50 carats, they range from light to medium brown and are approximately VS clarity. The brooch measures approximately 1¾ inches across and approximately 1¼ high from head to foot.
