Description

Each earring set with a cushion-shaped sapphire within a border of cushion-shaped diamonds, clip and post fittings; the necklace composed of two rows of cultured pearls measuring approximately 6.5mm, to a clasp set with a cushion-shaped sapphire bordered by brilliant-cut diamonds, length approximately 395mm.

Condition

Accompanied by facsimiles of two gemmological reports from the Gemmologisches Institut Hamburg. Necklace clasp tongue stamped 585 for 14 carat gold. Sapphires mid to deep blue, transparent, with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some surface-reaching, some areas of minor wear to facet edges, sapphires in ear clips measuring approximately 9.1 x 7.4 x 5.2mm and 9.8 x 7.2 x 6.2mm, calculated to weigh approximately 3.50 and 4.40 carats respectively. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.70 - 0.90 carats in ear clips, 0.60 - 0.80 carats in necklace. Clip and post fittings on ear clips and clasp on necklace in good working order, closing securely. Cultured pearls of cream to white body colour, with medium to high lustre, with pink and green overtones, well-matched, diameters approximately 6mm on average, areas of pitting, unevenness and minor wear to nacre surfaces. Scratches to surfaces consistent with wear. In good condition. Necklace total weight approximately 53 grams; ear clips combined total weight approximately 6 grams. Fitted boxes.
