Description
The brooch of rectangular openwork design, set at the center with a step-cut emerald, further set with baguette and brilliant-cut diamonds, signed SAH, Swiss maker's mark, wearable as a pendant; each earring supporting a pear-shaped emerald drop highlighted with tapered baguette and brilliant-cut diamonds, clip fittings.
Condition
The brooch signed SAH 1991, Swiss maker's mark and stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Each earring stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. The step-cut emerald measuring approximately 13.30 x 13.19 x 8.86mm, calculated to weigh approximately 10.00 carats. Emeralds well matches in colour, green of medium strong saturation with typical inclusions, some surface reaching, minor abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 10.00 - 13.00 carats, on average H-I colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Scratches to the metal consistent with age and normal use. Clasp secure, sliding safety catch. Clip fittings. Total gross weight approximately 45 grams.
