註：黃般若好遊歷，一九四九年定居香港後，遊踪遍及本地名勝，香江風貌漸次納入畫圖中。這與「師造化」相通，又不失時代精神。五十年代中期以迄，香港風景成為他創作生涯中後期明顯特色。他採寫生為基礎，一改筆法及構圖以適應表現實景的特徵。如本幅所寫乃其筆下常見之漁村景色，圖中山脈輪廓皴綫，減省幾至沒骨的處理，與傳統手法大異其趣。復於外沿添加色點，形成樹木密聚的毛茸茸效果，層次畢現，足見其寫生與傳統筆墨參合之畫風特色。
