LIN YUTANG | Calligraphy in Xingshu

signed YUTANG, dated 1965, with a dedication, and two seals of the artist

-Foxing on the left, signs of abrasion along the edges, and loss of paper at a calligraphy word can be found, which can be improved by restoration. Otherwise, generally in fair condition.

上款：「欽鴻、守荊」即張欽鴻、陳守荊伉儷。張欽鴻乃林語堂外甥，居台。林氏一九六六年自美返台定居，陳守荊自此成為其袐書，回覆信函，協助編纂〈當代漢英詞典〉，隨侍在側，關係益切，日後更結父女之誼。本幅乃林氏仍在美時寫寄二人。
