香港著名收藏家郭文基「一硯齋」舊藏
郭氏經商，代理日本製造供漁船用的馬達。他性嗜書畫，工餘隨余本、彭襲明習藝，並刻意搜求名家書畫，範圍廣涉二十世紀大家如齊白石、李可染、謝稚柳等，尤以藏傅抱石精品數十幅聞名於時。

註：峨嵋諸峯中，金頂以高海拔勝，且雲海無邊，巔上古刹與日光相映照，金碧璀璨，尤為攝人。抗戰期間，入蜀之文藝界人士，多登臨此地，取景入圖。謝稚柳一九三八年入渝，翌年即往游峨嵋，登金頂；四五年九月，自西安展覽歸途中，復作峨嵋之游。本幅即同年冬，遊畢所寫。

畫中巨峰頂峙，山巒積叠，高松巉岩，疏密夾雜，雲氣穿插繚繞其間，古寺巒頂聚結，林間隱現，全畫安排有序，佈局井然。筆墨取董巨法，以長披麻細綫勾出山體嶙峋，復施淡墨反複暈染，益顯立體感。敷色温潤，渾厚華滋，山體以花青為主，日光映照之峭壁、古寺，則薄染赭紅，金頂雄偉之勢，於此盡矣。
