Condition

Overall very good condition. The glass top with a few light surface scratches. The wood presents with a few light surface scratches and a few minute dents along the edges. The veneer presents with a few hairline cracks, concentrated to the seams of the drawers, the rear corners of the cabinet and the lower quadrant of the proper right side. The proper front right corner presents with a crack in the veneer of approximately 9 cm. A few of these cracks have been previously stabilized. A few scattered previous wood worms holes.

By oral tradition, this chest comes from an interior in Milano entierly decorated by Vittorio Dassi (Milano, 1893-1973) who was at one time Gio Ponti's cabinet maker.
