Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the white background has fewer grey undertones and the vertical stripes to the upper left of the composition are dark blue in the original. The overall composition is more vibrant in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is some wear and light rubbing along the edges with associated handling marks in places, most notably to the upper right corner. Close inspection reveals some fine drying cracks throughout the composition, as well as a small number of tiny networks of hairline cracks in isolated places. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a small spot of irregular fluorescence to the lower right corner tip, which does not appear to be restoration.
