Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Close inspection reveals a pattern of drying cracks throughout, with some associated paint flaking most notably to the areas of thick impasto. Further close inspection reveals that some of the impasto peaks have been compressed and there are some tiny losses to the tips of some of them, most notably to the white pigment in the upper centre of the extreme right hand edge. Extremely close inspection reveals some tape that has adhered to the white pigment in the upper right hand corner. There is some slight yellowing to the varnish. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals some spots that fluoresce darkly, which appear to be under layers of paint.
