Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly cooler in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Very close inspection reveals a tiny speck of loss to the extreme bottom left hand corner and some drying cracks to the ochre pigment in the upper register of the painting. The is a very fine and superficial layer of dirt that has adhered to the paler pigments. All surface irregularities and media accretions appear to be inherent to the artist's working process. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
