  • 22 x 16 cm ; 8 2/3 x 6 1/3 in.
with coral Christ, titulus and skull ; on a blue glass and silver-gilt mounted cross

Condition

Overall in fairly good condition with minor surface dirt consistent with ages and hairline fissures visible in some places consistent with the material. Both arms and his proper right leg appear to have been carved separately. His proper right forearm appears to have been reattached with a joint slightly visible above the elbow and his proper left foreleg also has a joint slightly visible to his proper left knee. Both feet have been partly replaced with a joint slightly visible. The fingers on both hands have been retouched. His beard, on his proper left, has been retouched with small white traces visible. The blue glass cross with a break visible on the proper left branch and with many bubbles consistent with the material. There is some wear to the silver-gilt mounts.
