Provenance

Bernard Chappard (and sold: Hôtel Drouot, Paris, March 13, 2000, lot 33)
Acquired at the above sale by Dr. Arthur Brandt

Condition

Oil on cardboard laid down on panel. Examination under UV light reveals an horizontal line of retouching (approx. 12 cm) on the left edge and three spots of retouching towards the centre of the upper edge and two further spots of retouching towards the right edge. There are some small losses to the cardboard at the extreme edges, notably to the lower right corner, possibly caused by frame rubbing. Overall this work is in good condition.
