Description

  • 52 cm, 20 1/2  in.
the bulbous body rising from a flared foot to a trumpet neck flanked by openwork handles, carved with foliate medallions enclosed by interlocking strap panels, between borders of key-fret and beneath plantain leaves wrapping the neck, applied overall save for the white base with a transparent sea-green glaze

Condition

The vase is slightly slanted but in overall good condition. There are a few imperfections in the glaze, including a tiny glaze gap and a couple of dark spots to the handles. The foot has a shallow chip, adjacent to a glaze pool.
