Catalogue Note

The form of the headscarf worn by the princess and her attendants, with a triangular upper section separated from the long trail of hair descending below, is closely related to an illustration in a further copy of the hasht bihisht of Amir Khusrau in the Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris, attributed to circa 1560 Shiraz, (Suppl. Persan 633, F. Richard, Splendeurs Persanes: Manuscrits du XIIe au XVIIe siècle, Paris, 1997, cat.127, p.192).
