Description

  • 23 by 15.3cm. 
Arabic manuscript on paper, 415 leaves, 13 lines to the page, written in naskh in black ink, ruled in gold and red, verses separated by gold and polychrome pointed markers, gold and polychrome floral marginal markers, surah headings in white ink against a gold ground within polychrome cartouches, polychrome opening double page frontispiece decorated with interlacing floral scrolls, in brown Ottoman binding with gilt-stamped lobed centre and lobed pieces, with flap

Condition

In generally good condition, minor stains and holes, minor restorations and smudges, a seal impression on f.2v, the frontispiece with minor smudges but bright, the binding restored but in overall good condition, as viewed.
