1) Arabic manuscript on paper, 28 leaves plus 4 fly-leaves, 11 lines to the page written in naskh in black ink, important words in red, ruled in gold and black, pointed roundel markers, f.1b with title in gold thuluth, in later leather and marbled paper binding.
2) Persian manuscript on paper, 8 leaves plus 2 fly-leaves, 12 lines to the page written in nasta’liq in black ink, markers and important words in red, ruled in gold and blue, f.1b with gold and polychrome heading, with 19^th-century Ottoman seal impressions

Risala Ayyuha 'l-walad: In good condition, minor stains to the pages but the hand strong and clean, minor rubbing and ownership notes at the beginning and end, as viewed. The treatise on the science of physiognomy: in good condition, the margins clean, with minor restorations to the borders, smudges and stains, the headpiece with minor flaking and rubbing, as viewed.
