of rectangular form, embroidered with a central rectangular panel containing a mirorr image with birds and foliate wreaths designed with polychrome coloured and metal threads on black velvet ground, surrounded by dense, entwined foliate designs, with a border

Condition

The textile with brown velvet remnants to edges of design, some tears and associated restoration and staining, re-mounted, metal-threads missing in sections, revealing the card to underside of designs, tears to colourful silk highlights on border, re-lined to edges, set on a linen backing, we would advise consulting a professional restorer for further advice on conservation, as viewed.
