The cover is slightly larger than the box. There are several deep cracks to the cover of the box, the longest measuring ca. 16 cm, with traces of glue and red paste visible to the inside. There is a ca. 10 x 4 cm piece broken in two and off the rim, and restored. The metal ring is detached from the cover and no longer fits. There are two ca. 10 x 3 cm and 6 x 2.5 cm crescent-shaped pieces broken off the rim of the box and restuck/restored. Approx. one third of the inner sides of the box have been repainted. There are cracks and minor losses to the box and cover.
